We are ecstatic to announce that the 5th Annual Sun and Truth 5K is set for May 4th, 2025, from 9:45 AM to 11:15 AM at Riverside Park in LaSalle! Over the years, this event has blossomed into a vibrant community tradition, promoting well-being while uniting runners from all walks of life to support a cause close to their hearts. This year participants have the opportunity to donate to Tyndale St-Georges Community Centre upon registration – The Sun and Truth Foundation will match those donations.Â
Five Years Strong: Running for Impact
Since its inception, the Sun and Truth 5K Race has been a place for friendly competition, encouraging participants to achieve fitness milestones. Beyond the physical challenge, the race has made a tangible difference in underserved and under-resourced communities across Montréal.
Participants not only show up for themselves but also for causes that address community development, food insecurity, homelessness, and environmental concerns. Last year's race raised $11,050, benefiting 20 different charities across Montréal and beyond. This collective effort has empowered organizations like La Petite Maison in St. Pierre to expand their reach and amplify their impact.
As usual, The Sun and Truth Foundation will donate $8,000 to podium finishers and randomly chosen participants — including kid runners!
Tyndale St-Georges Community Centre
This year we will also be raising funds in support of Tyndale St-Georges Community Centre, based in Little Burgundy. Every donation made to Tyndale will be matched by the Foundation. The funds will support The Nature for All program, Â primarily serving families, including many new immigrants and individuals from diverse backgrounds, for whom opportunities to experience nature are often limited.
Nature for All ensures that all members of the community have access to enriching experiences. The program also offers camping experiences for kids from their weekend program, and for July Day Camp participants, who will spend a full day at camp, creating lasting memories in nature.Â
 We look forward to contributing to Tyndal’s nearly 100 years of community development and empowerment.

T-Shirt: If you're a seasoned Sun and Truth 5K runner, remember to bring your T-shirts from previous years! If not, you’ll have the option to order a new one featuring this year’s race logo.
St. Viateur Lunch Boxes: This year, we’ll be having St.Viateur bagel lunch boxes. Make sure to select the St.Viateur bagel of your choice upon registering for the race.
